Overview
With Fazeshift, you are always in the know. You can get messages via email or Slack for just about anything related to your contracts, invoices, payments, and more. Customize these notifications to fit your business processes.
There are a few different types of communications that Fazeshift may send you.
- Notifications
- Get alerted when your business has received a payment, and any information about that payment such as the matching invoice.
- Task Digests
- Receive daily digest summaries letting you know what tasks are due that day.
- Workflow Alerts
- Get alerted when invoices should be sent, when invoices are overdue by a certain number of days, when a contract is about to expire, and more.

Notifications
Get alerted when your business has received a payment, and any information about that payment such as the matching invoice.
This communication setting is turned on by default to send notifications to your email, and Slack workspace if you have one integrated. You can edit delivery channels or turn this notification off at any time.
To manage notifications:
- Go to: Profile (your name in the bottom left corner) > Notification preferences
- Use the toggle to turn the notification setting on or off.
- Click "Edit" to toggle on/off the channels where you would like to get notifications and who should receive the notification.
- Select whether or not to receive notifications via email, and which emails should receive the notification.
- Select whether or not to receive notifications via slack, and which channels should receive the notification.
- Click "Update".
Task Digests
Receive daily digest summaries letting you know what tasks are due that day.
This communication setting is turned on by default to send notifications via email.
You will only get emails for tasks assigned to you. If you assign tasks to other team members, they will get their own task digests.
The email will go out only on days where you have tasks that are due. The emails are set to send only on weekdays so you won't receive task digests on the weekend.
You can edit task digest settings at any time.
To manage task digests:
- Go to: Profile (your name in the bottom left corner) > Team settings > Task digests
To edit email digest settings:
- Click "Enable" or "Disable" to toggle the email task digest notifications on or off.
- Click "Edit" to adjust the task digest frequency.
- All emails will be sent to the account email address as displayed on this page.
To edit Slack digest settings:
- Note, if you do not yet have a Slack workspace integrated, you will need to integrate a Slack before you can edit your Slack digest settings.
- Click "Enable" or "Disable" to toggle the Slack task digest notifications on or off.
- Click "Edit" under the "Slack channel" section to set the task digest frequency and Slack channel where notifications will be delivered. Slack digest notifications will not be sent until this setting is confirmed.
- Click "Edit" under the "Frequency" section to adjust the task digest frequency.
Workflow Alerts
Get alerted when invoices should be sent, when invoices are overdue by a certain number of days, when a contract is about to expire, and more.
Workflows allow you to automate your processes and customize your tasks and notifications to fit your team's needs.
You can set tasks or reminders for just about anything related to invoices and contracts. Whether you want reminders 7 days before an invoice is due, reminders every day after an invoice is overdue, or to trigger an escalation to the CFO when an invoice is 30 days overdue, anything is possible using workflows.
To manage workflows:
- Go to: More > Workflows
- Toggle between the "Invoices" and "Contracts" tabs to manage workflows for each item
- Click "New Template" to create a new workflow. This allows you to assign different workflows to different customers depending on their needs.
- Use the pencil icon to edit a workflow name.
- Use the trash icon to delete a workflow.
- There will always be a Default workflow to get you started, but you can edit it at any point.
To add a notification to a workflow:
- Click the "+ Add" button or anywhere around the plus-icon circles scattered throughout the workflow timeline.
- Select "Notification" from the drop-down.
- Select an event, a time frame, the platforms, and the users who you want the notification to be delivered to.
- The gray text box at the top of the dialog box will show you the details of the notification you are creating.
- Click "Add Team Notification".
To add a task to a workflow:
- Click the "+ Add" button or anywhere around the plus-icon circles scattered throughout the workflow timeline.
- Select "Task" from the drop-down.
- Select an event, a time frame, who the task is going to be assigned to, and the name of the task.
- The gray text box at the top of the dialog box will show you the details of the task you are creating.
- Click "Add Task".
To edit a notification on a workflow:
- Click on an existing notification from the workflow editor.
- Edit the event, time frame, or platforms and users that will receive the notification.
- Click "Update Team Notification".
To edit a task on a workflow:
- Click on an existing task from the workflow editor.
- Edit the event, time frame, assignee, or task name.
- Click "Update Task".
To delete a notification from a workflow:
- Hover over a notification on the workflow editor.
- Click the trash icon to delete the notification.
To delete a task from a workflow:

- Click the trash icon to delete the notification.
